AEA has the following objectives:

1. The betterment of the social and economic status of Engineers.
2. Promoting the unity and common interests of all Engineers, regardless of circumstances of employment or field of practice.
3. Informing Engineers and the public on the proper role of Engineering in our Society.
4. Promoting the ethical practice of Engineering.
5. Influencing the training of future Engineers.
6. Keeping membership fees at a minimum to ensure maximum participation throughout the Engineering profession.
